Windows xp Remote desktop into VMWare virtual machine

Asked by cireduran in VMware, Network Operations, TCP/IP

Tags: VMWARE, VMWARE/ ESX, 3.5

I have a VMWare Server with one Virtual Machine running Windows server 2003. Remote desktop is enabled and permissions have been set on the virtual machine. What do I need to do from my pc or on the virtual server in order to remote into it. It is all on the same subnet. I can ping the ESX server with all packets received, however, when I ping the dhcp address given to the virtual machine I receive a request timed out. I'm new to VMWare products as well.
