UNC path to virtual host doesn't work while connected to corporate network

Hi all

I`m working with Vmware Workstation over Win XP professional.
I've created a virtual host running Windows 2003 server, working as domain controller and Active Directory server, only for local installed applications.
The IP address was established on the hosts file in the host computer, and the virtual network mode is host only.
While the host computer is disconnected from my corporate network, the virtual host can be accessed through the UNC path, and the applications on the virtual host works fine.

The problem appears when the host computer is attached to my corporate network directly at the office or using a VPN out of this. It's clear to me that my host computer look for the virtual host in my corporate Domain controller. Is that correct?

Could I have a way to say to my host computer that a particular host must be looked on the virtual network?

Thanks in advance.
