VMware Server Slow After Long Periods Of Idle Time On Server 2003 Machine

First let me describe my setup.
AMD x2 64 bit  Proc @ 2.0 Ghz per core.
  5 GB of Ram 2 - 2 GB sticks and 2 - 512
Host OS is Serverr 2003 Enterprise Edition
  Guest OS's are:
    1 Server 2003 Ent Edition
2 Windows XP Pro SP3 Machines
    1 Ubuntu 8.04
    1 Vista Ultimate Machine

I use all these machines for testting.  I am working at MCSE and other certs.  I have all these machines connected to my AD domain running on the host machine.  The problem is that if I leave my PC for an extended amount of time (go to work, sleep, etc.) when i come back each guest machine runs very slow however the host seems fine.  I checked the event viewer on both the guest and host machines and did not notiice anything that seems related.  I have monitored cpu / ram / disk specs and notthing seems out of spec there either.  I have all machines setup to not swap ram and all have vmware tools installed.  If I shutdown each machine and restart vmware everything starts working fine again.  Any suggestions on this issue would be greatly appreciated.Start Free Trial
