Hi,
Im looking for some help connecting ESX 3.5 to the Dell md3000i iSCSI SAN.
Ive tried to follow the guide from dell (link below), but had no luck. I think the problem is with NIC setups. Im trying o setup one NIC to be used for iSCSI and one for VM network access and console.
The first NIC thats used for console seems to be fine, but not sure if second one is.
Ive created second virtual switch, assigned second NIC to it and created VMkernel port with the IP address on the iSCSI network.
From ESX server console I can only ping hosts on the LAN, nothing replies on the iSCSI network, however, I can ping VMkernel IP address from other hosts connected to iSCSI.
One last thing I have noticed is that ifconfig shows no IP addresses on vmnic0 nor vmnic1, only vswif0 has an IP if the service console.
