Installin Vmware Virtual Center

I am reading on this link:

1-when installing VC what 's the difference between Client setup type and Server setup type?
2-how does VC see the ESX hosts and shows them up on the GUI of the VC.
3-Do I need to istall Virtual Infrastructure client separately or , Client setup I mentioned in question #1 will do the same?
