VMware IPMI message handler

I have 6 HP Blade servers running VMware 3.5 update 4 and I am getting an error on the console:
IMPI message handler : BMC returned incorrect response, expected netfn 5 cmd 25, got netfn 5 cmd 35.
Followed by:
IMPI message handler : BMC returned incorrect response, expected netfn 31 cmd 9c, got netfn 31 cmd 35.
I have had a couple of problems where the blade servers stop responding and the cluster has to move the VM's.  I am not sure if the above error has anything to do with it but this seems to be the only error I am recording.

BMC means Baseboard Management Controller.

I think this issue is specific to the Hardware and not with respect to VMware.

Have you checked with HP Website for any pertinent issues ?

ESX host may become unresponsive with the error: BMC returned incorrect response, expected netfn 7 <cmd>, got netfn 7 <cmd>
Symptoms
"      You see the following error on the console or in /var/log/messages:

BMC returned incorrect response, expected netfn 7 <cmd>, got netfn 7 <cmd>
"      ESX host may become unresponsive
Resolution
This issue may occur if the BMC controller requires a firmware update. Many vendors provide firmware for their BMC controllers separately from the system BIOS/firmware upgrades. To resolve this issue, apply the BMC specific firmware updates. These updates stop messages from being written to the log and prevents the server from reaching a point where a lock up occurs.
 
If applying the firmware updates does not resolve the issue, verify that the appropriate version of the 3rd party management agents are installed. If the correct versions are installed, briefly disable them as a diagnostic step. If this does not resolve the issue, engage your hardware vendor to determine if there is an issue with the BMC controller itself.

Well after working with HP support there is no real solution to these error messages.  HP recommened watching my memory usage and recording what service is taking up all the memory when it becomes unresponsive.  But that is a little hard to do when the server is unresponsive.  I hope VMware v4 combined with upgrading firmware on the serves might solve the problem.
