hmm. I have tried rebooting both the VM and the VCenter servers and I am still getting the same error

VMWare ESX 4 There are errors during the remediation operation. Failed to install following patches
I am having trouble remediating 3 of my servers. most of the patches install fine but for a few patches I keep getting the error below and no explanation as to why in the logs. simply that it failed to install

This is all VCenter is showing for the error, and it doesn't seem to be in the logs that I can see

Yes, and I don't know why you're seeing this error. I would call VMware on this issue and file an SR.

I have seen such errors before and it's normally solved by rebooting the server and then continuing the patch process. I haven't figured out *why* this is happening though.
