How to update VMWare ?

Hello all,

I've VMWare server console installed on a server and I've 3 VM's. My VMWare server console version is 1.0.7 which is too old. I want to update this to the latest version, but I've three VM's on it and they are very important. I don't want to mess them up. I can do the update after hours so it does not affect anyone else, but I've to get the VM's and the host system running as it is. So how do I update VMWare ? Also, do I need to updatel anything else or just update VMWare Server Console ?
