it's very fast when I use this on linux, but on solaris it's kind of slow, up to 17 seconds to give the results ouput?
does anybody know why ? any suggestion?

the program running slow or not it depends on your hardware, and the workload on the system at that time. (the CPU and memory available at the time).
To find out Which process is taking the highest CPU usage, run "prstat" command or
type in:
/usr/ucb/ps -uaxw | head -15
to find out the top 15 processs which eating up your CPU, memory etc.
BTW, which version of Solaris are you running (if you need more help, post the output of
uname -a)
also, try to patch up your system, or download the binary package (including all dependencies)
