I have vmware tools in the tray of WinXP (guest),. but I don't have it on unbuntu running the vmware-player.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI am new to VMWare. I set up a server on Unbuntu 8.04 desktop with 19in Monitor. Created a VM of XP Pro and got it working well. I then copied the folder to a USB drive. I installed VMware Player on a HP mini running Unbuntu 9.10 remix , opened the VM and everything works, but the desktop in full screen mode is "cut off" at the bottom and I can't seem to grab the scroll bars on the side to get to the bottom of the screen. I don't see any monitor settings, is this something I can manually change in the vmdk or vmx files? I am only using it to test to see if it is worth the resources (as opposed to dual boot) as I rarely use windows on the mini.
Not sure if versions or logs or any other info would be helpful, I did try all the screen resolutions and they are fine in a window, but cut off in full screen. I was thinking maybe if I spec'd a laptop display it would help, but only guessing.
Any help on a solution would be appreciated.
