Would you know if there is an alternative VMWare product that runs the same way as the Server edition and allows more then 4 serial ports to be added?

Browse All TopicsGood afternoon,
We are currently using VMWare Server Version 2.0.1 Build 156745. Host is Windows Server 2003 SE SP2, Guest is OpenSUSE 10.3.
Our problem is that we have 8 avalable ports on the host but only 4 are being picked up by VMware Server. Please advise how we can add the other 4 ports.
I have tried using the "Add Hardware" command with the guest powered on and off, but the Serial port option is grayed out. I have also tried editing the .vmx configuration file to include the other ports but still they do not appear in VMWare Server.

Appreciate your assistance.
