Jumbo frame in Dell MD3000i and ESX 3.5 does not work

Hi Experts

We have tried to enable jumbo frame in our environment to speedup the backup process. Attached is the infrastructure. We already enable jumbo frame in both Dell MD3000i, Wmware ESX 3.5 (the procedure to enable jumbo frame is from vmware support team so it is quite reliable), backup server and Cisco 3750 switch stack.

However when issue ping from ESX server (vmkping -s 9000 IPADRESS_OF_MD3000) to MD3000 or from Backupserver to MD3000m, it does not work. The maximum packet I can get is around 1450 bytes.

But when ping 9000 bytes packet from ESX server to backupserver or vice versa then it works.
It then indicate that something wrong with MD3000. But I already checked all the controller so the jumbo frame already enabled to 9000 bytes.

Just wonder if there is anything I sitll need to consider. I already followed exactly the procedure comes from vmware and dell support team without luck and you guys is the last resort solution I can try
