VMWare Volume Best Practices

I am getting ready to do a P2V convert of 2-3 Server and I am trying to find a best practices in creating the volume in the Equalogic system. I have a PS4000 and I need to create a volume that will support these server. Do you have any recommendation if I need to create just a single large volume to support multiple server or do I need to create a single volume per server. What will be the best route.

Thank you.
Collin

The P2V Server that I am planning to convert are the (one) DNS, and (2) Application Server. The Equalogic is set to RAID50. I am trying to decide if I need to create a single volume (virtual) for each or for all machine.

Thanks.

You certainly don't want to create a volume/RAID for each VM. Just create a couple volumes large enough to accommodate several VMs and you'll be good to go.

one volume/RAID per VM was hyper-V style :)
The comments/suggection you two certainly give me some insight on how to handle the volume.

Thank you.
