Convert XenServer xva to VMware Server.
Hey Experts!
I have several *.xva exports from a server. The XenServer no longer exists, we need to import these VMs into a VMware EXSi server. I did not see a way to directly import them into vmware but i did find the XenConvert utility. I have tried converting them to OVF files which i believe vmware can import but i continue to get errors trying to convert. I have 6 machines and get errors on them all.
First error i get is
"Failed to read 1048576 bytes from offset 15383658496 in XVA." the location it stops reading changes every time i run it.
Second error i sometimes get is.
OVF.TransformXvaOvf_VDI completed b012c2cd-6230-4767-aeb6-b5 a659186cb7
Failed to create OVF Package.

Does anyone have a better way of loading the xva files into a VMware server or workstation aside from setting up a XenServer again...

IF that doesn't work, you can power on the VMs (if you can), then use an imaging tool (Acronis True Image...use the trial) and convert them to an image file, then use the Converter to convert them to VMware.
