I have an IBM BladeCenter S chassis with three HS22 blade servers, each with embedded hypervisors that have been upgraded to ESXi 4.1, 260247.<br />
I'm running vCenter 4.1, 258902.<br />
<br />
When adding hosts to vCenter, each of them appears with a Red Alert, which seems to be related to these Events.<br />
<br />
Alarm 'Host IPMI System Event Log Status' on server changed from Grey to Red<br />
Alarm 'Host IPMI System Event Log Status' on server triggered an action<br />
Alarm 'Host IPMI System Event Log Status': an SNMP trap for entity server was sent<br />

How can I find out further information about what these messages mean?<br />

vSphere - 'Host IPMI System Event Log Status' errors

VMware, a software company founded in 1998,  was one of the first commercially successful companies to offer x86 virtualization. The storage company EMC purchased VMware in 1994. Dell Technologies acquired EMC in 2016. VMware’s parent company is now Dell Technologies.

VMware has many software products that run on desktops, Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS, which allows the virtualizing of the x86 architecture.  Its enterprise software hypervisor for servers, VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi), is a bare-metal hypervisor that runs directly on the server hardware and does not require an additional underlying operating system.
