1. VMwareGO setups up your servers for Free. (no need to ask question on EE!)

2. Yes, vCenter.

3. No, Essentials is only Licensed for 3 Servers.
3. You would have to purchase a LIcense and Upgrade to vCenter Standard, which is not limited to just three ESX/ESXi servers.

Checkout VMware Licensing here

i k now that stupid question.. but i need to ask its .. as

i already wasted time on oracle VM from last 2 weeks... now its my time to give a revew to company ..
and i wanted to chose this one . so i need to make sure i can do what i want with this free version...

so if have 4 server i wil have to pay almost

USD 4,495.00 for Essential plus ??
Free Version is the same as the Paid version, just without options of vCenter Management HA and vMotion. (and if you've got no SAN or Shared Storage you cannot use HA or vMotion).

If you are puchasing four hosts, you need to look at the costs of 4 x vSphere Standards, + vCenter Server Standard, versus a Essentials Kit, which is for SMBs, which is a bundle for 3 x Hosts and vCenter.
ah, okay, Oracle VM Hypervisor! (not the db!)
please tel me something for 100% sure. i know you said to me in last question but one more time..

after I put hte Registration key  in Vshapre Client .. i mean, after 60 days ..

still it wil allow me to assign

(a)more then 64 GB ram to individual Virtual meachine
(b) at least 16 Core to per Virtual Cpu

right ??

if thats right then i will go with ESXI and vshepere client

we will think to by Vcenter later on

please let me know
yes, i was trying with oracle hypervisor.. but very unstable .. may be you need fiber optic connection between server to make it work.. which i dont have .. I really like the product but they will fix all the issue in version 3.0.2 but no time limit when they will publish that .. so cant wait ..

currnetly we have 3 server ..

but we will buy more in future ..

so you saying,. if i Buy Vcenter , i can use unlimited number of Server for centralized management ..??

oracle Vm 3.01 is a great products but has few restriction and they made this for SAN storage ....

and its free

example : live motion.. SAN link..

all free ..

If you purchase vCenter STANDARD License it can manage up to 1000.

Essentials Kits

The Essentials Kits are all-in-one solutions for small environments
(up to three hosts with two CPUs each) available in two editions—
Essentials and Essentials Plus. Both editions include VMware vSphere
processor licenses and VMware vCenter Server for Essentials for an
environment of up to three hosts (up to 2 CPUs each) and maximum
pooled vRAM capacity of 192GB (32GB x 6 VMware vSphere
Essentials CPU licenses). Essentials scalability limits are productenforced
and cannot be extended other than by upgrading the
whole kit to a higher-end bundle (see upgrades sections, below).
VMware vSphere Essentials and Essentials Plus kits are self-contained
solutions and may not be decoupled, or combined with other
VMware vSphere editions.

But VMware is the INDUSTRY standard, has a Pedigree, been around since 1998, and our Virtualisation Specialists.

after I put hte Registration key  in Vshapre Client .. i mean, after 60 days ..

still it wil allow me to assign

(a)more then 64 GB ram to individual Virtual meachine
(b) at least 16 Core to per Virtual Cpu

right ??

if thats right then i will go with ESXI and vshepere client

we will think to by Vcenter later on

Is this FREE?
If you are using the FREE version.

FREE - vSphere Hypervisor is entitled to 32GB of vRAM per server (regardless of the number of processors) and can be utilized on servers with up to 32GB of physical RAM.

a) can you allocate 64GB RAM to a VM on FREE - NO!
you asked me

Is this the  FREE or Licensed Version?  :

what you meant by that ??

currently i am using Vshpere Client ( which is free )

and as you said,

with this free Vshpere client,
i will be able to give at least 8 cpu to each Virtual machine also atleast 64 GB to each CPU

is this is fine .. then for time being .. i should be ok

please conferm me ..
Sorry did not see your post. .

so wiith Free ESXI 5

i will be able to use only 32 GB of phsyical ram ?? ..........

so to use more ram i need to buy  VMware vSphere Essentials Kit ??
sorry
so to use more then 32 gb ram

you need to use Vmware Vshpere 5  ??

i thougth they are same!!!

you asked

still it wil allow me to assign

(a)more then 64 GB ram to individual Virtual meachine
(b) at least 16 Core to per Virtual Cpu

FREE will not. Because you can only user 32GB RAM on a FREE LICENSE!

FREE - vSphere Hypervisor is entitled to 32GB of vRAM per server (regardless of the number of processors) and can be utilized on servers with up to 32GB of physical RAM.

THE ANSWER IS NO! (not on FREE).

You will need to purchase.
You would need to purchase an Essentials License.

to use 64GB on a single VM.

(or drop back and use ESXi 4.1 FOR FREE, there is no memory limit!)
The FREE version is called VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi 5.0).

VMware vSphere 5.0 is what is referred to the Paid version, of VMware vSphere Essentials which includes  VMware vSphere Hypervisor + vSphere vCenter.
yes, got it now!!

but ESXi 4.1 is free.. but it will not allow me to use 16 core ... right ??

and Essentials License is bound to 3 host  server and the price is 495 USD
right ??

and if i want to add one or 2 more server.. i will have to go for essential plus kit

which is USD 4,495.00

right ??

ESXi 4.1 Correct on the Cores.

Essentials or Essentials is 3 hosts only. As for latest price check with VMware or your Reseller/Partner for discounts.

NO, Essentials Plus does NOT allow you to add servers.

Essentials scalability limits are product enforced and cannot be extended other than by upgrading the
whole kit to a higher-end bundle.
VMware vSphere Essentials Plus Kit adds features such as
vSphere vMotion, vSphere HA and vSphere Data Recovery to
VMware vSphere Essentials to enable always-on IT for the small
environment
and its looks like VMware vSphere Standard has limitation for each processor!!!

VMware vSphere Standard
Server consolidation and no planned downtime      VMware vSphere 5 Standard for 1 processor (with 32 GB vRAM entitlement per processor)      USD 995.00      USD 273.00 / Basic
USD 323.00 / Production

so if i go for Vsphere Standard edition . i will be abel to use only 1 processor.....

and

when i stick with free edition, i will be only able to use 32 GB ram ...

both way i will be stuck ...

ohhhhhhhhhttps://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/27322821/is-vmware-go-free.html?cid=239#

thats good ..
sorry you can cal me dumb..

so if I buy this

VMware vSphere Essentials Kit

i will be able to use 3 Vsphere Server with 2 processor and each processor will have 32 GB of ram so i will be able to get 64 GB ram

and this will come with Vcenter

if all this right.. then no more question.... on this!!
thanks

thanks for the patience!!!
hi sorry.. but i am in doubt!!

i thought , vmware esxi 5 is unlimited cpu

but as soon as i put the licence key ..

i am seeing this

Product: VMware vSphere 5 Hypervisor Licensed for 1 physical CPUs (unlimited cores per CPU)
License Key: MN427-4224P-48T40-003H6-9NE75
Expires: Never

Product Features:
Up to 32 GB of memory
    Up to 8-way virtual SMP

does not it mean.. it will only work for 1 physical cpu .?? i hvae 2 physical cpu.. so it not going to work for both cpu ??
