Copy files from Windows to VMware vSphere Client

Hi folks,

Need to copy files from a windows 8 machine to a vmware vsphere client, only ping is working from dos, otherwise nothing is connecting too, it's been configured by some one else, I just need to copy some downloaded files to this vmware.

Basically trying to install/configure Oracle 11gR2 RAC, and for this need to copy openfiler first and then Oracle Enterprise Linux too there.

Please advice/guide, how this can be achieved.

Thanks in advance.

ASKER

Thanks but it was quite simple, just click on one the storage, browse database, it'll give all the folder, make a new folder there and click Upload Files to this datastore, that's it, simple, very easy way to upload files.

But now having one more issue, when trying to upload to start the vm, using the iso image, it is giving this error, any idea how to fix/correct this; windows 8 and vmware vsperer client 5.0

vmrc console has disconnected ... trying to reconnect

Please assist here, we are again stuck ... :-(

No Andrew, your answer didn't help, that's the reason, I mentioned, what I did, it's not the same as you said in your steps, you can review it too.

And that's why asking this, because still the problem is not solved, if you insist, I can assign you the points, but need to fix it, as still couldn't able to install any thing ... :-(

Please assist ... thanks.
answer provided, was very complicated, have no idea, correct or not, but got some outside help and it's very simple, just browse datasource and upload your files from your windows desktop, it's that simple.

I don't think that we are here to decide ... valid or invalid, every thing is valid and each and every thing is invalid too, if it doesn't server the purpose.

here is the same case too, it's an outstanding help/assistance and guidance too, no one is denying, but ... did it solved the problem, no ... basically it got more complicated.

where as we are coming to this place for fast and to the point answers, to get going, to remove our show stoppers ... only.

Hope this assists.

Thanks
