The software for raid config on windows would work but my windows doesn t install on the ocz agility ssd, it sees the disk but tells me it cannot create a partition. No windows drivers available. Argh.
Thanks, but that doesn't help me right now ....
I could flash the bios but what would that help me? I would loose 1 bay in the sharkoon (esata)? No problem for me, I can use it to make fast backups. Any other problems?
Then I could use Windows 2012R2 and hope it installs fine, use the raid software configuration utility?
The Answer to the question has been provided.

1. Update BIOS

2. Disable the network interface to access BIOS of Storage Controller. Then re-enable the network interface.
BIOS update may fix the Storage Controller issue, although I'm not sure if HP have fixed this.

Windows 2012 R2 - yes tick in the box here.

I would try try the network interface trick.

The issue, is the N40L does not have enough "memory space" to map all the BIOS of external cards.
No success with disabling onboard nic.

Flashed the bios, no lsi raid config available, not possible to install windows either.
I never heard from HP, this was fixed.

What interface cards do you have installed?

It's possible the LSI card BIOS is just too larged to be mapped.

in which case, you will not be able to create a RAID configuration for any OS.

Hardware is the issue. The price point of the Microserver, can only deliver, what it's designed todo, very few, use an external cards.
None of the ssd 's in the sharkoon Windows 2012 can install to. Windows 2012 does see the disks, it can format them but if I try to install it says "we couldn't rreate a new partition or locate an existing one.
Should be related to the sharkoon/bios settings  or lsi (since they are connected to it via lsi ....
And it cannot install to my sata disks either. Everytime the same error.
When I try to install to the sata, it says "windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computers's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's bios menu.
sata controller was on ahci, now on raid ....
And now I can boot into raid, but probably not the correct one ... no lsi mentioned anywhere. Is this the software raid ...(?)
There are different options: IDE, RAID and ahci. Tried raid and ahci now IDE.
and ide works fine.
This question, is specific to

for your Windows 2012 installation issues, you will need to post a new question.
Ok, right, no problem.
Thanks, please post a new question, and myself or other experts will be glad to assist.
