ESXI: I am attempting to attach a management network on ESXi 5.5 to a LACP 10 GB connection

I am attempting to attach a management network on ESXi 5.5 to a LACP 10 GB connection

There is 2 10GB ports on the back of the server , they ( I am told ) are configured with LACP and are on the same FEX ports 17 and 18 , I am TOLD there is no issue with the network .

However when I attempt to ping my gateway I get nothing from the DCUI of the ESX server.

Is there a setting I need to set on the command line of the ESXi server to route based on IP hash ?

What is this command and is it necessary ?

Yeah trying to use vSS , thanks did not know that . so without a vDS there is no way to get management  port onto a LACP port channel . I have just installed the ESXi with the native VSS , so all I have is the (2) 10 GB LACP configured ports right now.

The ONLY solution seems to be get hooked up on the single 1 GB with no LACP , right ?
Thanks !!!!!
Yes, use Static Trunks, is this HP switches?
no they are cisco FEX 2232 , and by static this would mean NON-LACP right

we have left the site , a coworker has told me that it could be the VLAN is not set correctly in the DCUI  as they are trunk and not access ports  could this be the case????

thanks again for all your help !!!!
If you are using Trunks, you will need to use VLAN Tags, you could just create an Access Pot with single VLAN Tag.

I would try a single interface, as is, and can you ping the gateway

we turned of the LACP at least for now ,

I have installed vcenter and now have the managment on the VDS and can turn the LACP back on right?

so long as my load balancing in " route based on IP hash"
LACP is supported by distributed switches.

If you are using distributed switches it's recommended to use Load Balance teaming instead of IP HASH.
