VMware Error

When I try to access VM console I get the following error:

"Unable to connect to the MKS: Could not connect to the pipe. ... Failed to connect server"

I have tried various things like reinstalling vSphere 5.1,, Adding Host IP to Host File, Disabling firewall etc.. It did not help. Any advise towards a resolution will be appreciated.
Thanks.

is this for a single VM, or all VMs ?

have you tried testing this from  another computer ?

Yes, tried from 3 different computers same error. The vms in question are on vSphere5.1 and I have no issues accessing vms on vSphere5.5 from the same computer. Thanks.
Sorry it is the other way round.  I am able to access all vms on vSphere5.1 but non from vSphere5.5.   I was able to access this   without any issues.  Tried various browsers too. No luck. Thanks.
You mention browser ?

So are you using the Web Client ?
I tried vSphere  and  Web Client too.  Same error. Thanks.

I think you are right Andrew.
1. I am able to access the  VCenter and Hosts (I can do everything except launching VM consoles!)
2. However, I am unable to get ping replies from my vCenter, Hosts or VMs
3. This being our main production unit, I may have to involve my Network admin too (which I will do early next week)

Highly appreciate your assistance.
check your networking, and DNS, firewalls...
