hi folks,
initially i would like to enable Wake-on-LAN on a Hyper-V based VM running on W2K8, then i tried to enter the VM's BIOS. All tries were failed.
so my questions are:
1. does Hyper-V support BIOS? i do believe the Hyper-V VM must have a BIOS otherwise the VM won't work. what i mean is a user-accessible BIOS.
2. how to enter the BIOS? Fn? Del? Ins? Space? all tried and failed. :(
any comments are welcome.
regards,
bbao

hi za_mkh
thanks for your comments.
it seems that it is by design. there are only two BIOS relevant settings of a Hyper-V machine, and they are in the VM's Settings.
it is a pain. as it is essential for a x86 VM, if you do want to make the VM more real.
for example, how can you modify the system date/time without using an OS. sometime, it is required.

Apparently you can't enter the Hyper-V BIOS. Based on another thread I read on EE in the last week or so, if you want to change the settings in your VM's BIOS ... well they can be set via the settings/ options page/tabs for the VM itself in the HyperV console.
Hope this helps!
