Are you looking for application that runs standalone (VMware Workstation, VMware Server 2.0) without installation ? (Portable Apps)

You could create a ESX4i installation on a 320GB USB drive and you would have a VMFS partition you can run VM's from.

You would of course need to use the ESX 4i installation on supported hardware each time you use it but it could be done,  check out the following link on how to implement the first part which is a USB ESX4i installation.

yes, standalone run, under my usb stick (preferably 4 G stick)

If you are owning a licensed copy of VMware Workstation, then you can use VMware ThinApp to create a Portable version of VMware Workstation (not sure whether this would work).

mokafive worked perfectly. It's installation and creating in the image takes time though, it's a just as i want. but, please follow the question in the end...

Unfortunately, i have done all the steps in the given link without any problem and successfully load the file "VMware-VMvisor-big-171294-x86_64.dd" to my USB as in the link but after booting with that USB, it starts loading but stuck and says exactly "Failed to load [vmdriver" and no respond from the machine. I have used U3 San Cruzer USB for that. So, I have thought the problem could be USB and I used a Kingston and same error occurs. So, I tried for VMware-VMvisor-big-3.5.0_Update_4-153875.i386.dd as my current machine for creating the USB is 32 bit and as VMWare advices in the link, https://www.vmware.com/tryvmware/?p=esxi, I download and apply similar steps as in your link and extract VMware-VMvisor-big-3.5.0_Update_4-153875.i386.dd and load the USB. Again, the target machine is Vaio which is a 64-bit monster. This time, no vmdriver error but he says customize system and it seems, i need to confiure management network which I am not sure and I stop at that step...

So, my question "just to you" is that is ESXi 4 working on 64-bit architecture only? Why does it fail in my Vaio VGN-FW4ZTJ laptop having 6 GB as RAM?

Can the target machine to create the USB be a 32-bit machine for ESXi 4?

Yes, I have both. I used ThinApp and the application creates similar directory structure (but not totally similar since it skips some apps). But the program only creates the structure nothing more and for VMWare, it only creates logs of it, not the program itself. Even, there is nothing something like browse for the programs...So, I drag and drop the preinstalled program from ProgramFiles and Common directory content of VMWare. Interestingly, the program works from the USB that is connected to my machine that also has the VMWare itself. But when, i take the USB to another machine, I got some errors, I attached the error log and screenshot. What should be the problem?

OK, now the crucial question is except for ESXi which is bootable (but problematic), all others need administrator priviledges to run from that USB. Since, I travel so much, I need to run Moka5 or Mojo or Virtual box or VMWare to be run without the need of administrator priviledges because the machines I am using are public and the owners don't give the password to use them so practically, having the applications in the USB won't help my problem. I haven't asked about that need in the original question, now I raise the points to 500. Could anyone help me?

Note that the target machine except for ESXi 4 trial are having 32-bit architecture.
