Is JMX right solution to develop monitoring application for virtualization infrastructure (vmware, xen)?

Is JMX correct choice to monitor virtualization infrastructure(vmware, xen etc) with Host and its associated VMs. JMX major industry use to monitor Java applications, but is JMX technology scalable enough to fulfill monitoring requirement of all of virtualization infrastructure.

Is there any JMX-based solution to monitor virtualization infrastructure (vmware, xen)? If someone can describe the major problems/issues in designing such a application.Start Free Trial
