Browse All TopicsI am trying to run the personal backup client (a bootable cd) on a VM (centos 5.3) that I have running on Xenserver 5.5. I have not been able to find a boot menu like VMWARE has. Any ideas on how to either boot from a physical cd or iso?

Sorry, my bad; seems like "Recovery mode" is indeed the only way to boot a Xen VM created from a Linux template from an ISO, unless you attach the disk (temporarily) to a machine created through "Other Operating System". Running Windows clients here, where the boot options are somewhat easier to set ...

Select the server in the left pane of XenCenter.
Go to the "General" tab, click the "Properties" button, select "Startup Options", and move the DVD-Drive to the top in the Boot Order list.
Then go to the Console tab and map the DVD drive/ISO image you want to use.
