The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

How to automatically convert a voice call into an email message?

Asked by richtree in Voice Recognition, Exchange Email Server, Message Queue

I am just curious if it is feasible to convert a voice call to an email message. For example, if someone dial a specific number, either the system decode the voice into text and automatically email that text to a specific email address; or the user uses the voice navigation prompt and the system send out different content based on caller's choices made. Here are just my imaginations.
1. caller dials 123-4567890, receives the following prompts:
for IT, press 1, then email will be sent to it@mycorp.com
for billing, press 2, then email will be sent to billing@myCorp.com
2. Next, caller describe the purpose of the call
2.1 if the system can convert the voice into text, then text content is sent to the recipient based on previous choice
2.2 if the system can not convert the voice into text, then the system should prompt callers with a few predefined actions such as:
2.2.1 leave a callback number, that callback number is emailed out
2.2.2 press 1 for call back branch#1 (123-4567891 is emailed out)
press 2 for call back branch#2 (123-4567892 is emailed out)
3. The magic system is (somehow) connected to the Exchange server.

Q#1. Is such 'system' expensive or cheap to implement?
Q#2. What pieces are required for such a 'system'?
Q#3. Any cost-effective commercial package solution?

Thanks a lot.Start Free Trial
