Lost connections after Microsoft patch KB948496

This is a good one - After istallation of Microsoft patch KB948496 I have lost communications to 3 apps on 3 different servers (all static)

1 - My clients can no longer communicate with the Virus console to get update (server1) Win 2003
2 - Clients cannot get to Sharepoint server (server2) Win2003 with Sql 2000
3 - Clients cannot get to Mail Archiver (server3) Win2003

Server 2 and 3 share the same sql 2000 server which is server 2.

I updated all my NIC drivers to the latest per Microsoft. This did not work. I ran the disable patch package from Microsoft. This did not work. I uninstalled the patch KB948496 - Rebooted serval times. But, still have same issues. I can ping via FQDN and IP.

I did get and app error for sharepoint
Event ID 6398 - Timer error
Event ID 5586 - Windows SharePoint Services 3
Unknown SQL Exception 10054 occured. Additional error information from SQL Server is included below.

A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)

One thing I should mention though is that I can browse any of these site local on the servers fine. Its just when I try to browse from a client machine.

Seems maybe like a firewall problem, but, I got rid of that. Then maybe a IIS issue, but, I can browse these places on the local machines.

I am really stumped on this one!
