Backup Exec 11d Small business server W2K3 Advanced File Option failiure

I have installed Backup Exec on two seperate W2K3 Small Business Servers. On both of them i get a job failed because of this error (see below)

Backup- H: V-79-57344-34110 - AOFO: Initialization failure on: "Microsoft Information Store". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
Snapshot provider error (0xE0008516): Resources specified for snapshot do not have any valid data on them. Check if files were deleted or renamed.
Check the Windows Event Viewer for details.

If i enter the error number on the symantec site i get no resolution. Does any one have any ideas. Both systems have there own beespoke management systems so i am using Advanced File Option. Withouth this i get failiures on certain files. (see below).

Backup- C: Unable to open the item C:\Program Files\Network Associates\McAfee GroupShield\bin\eServices\eS3IC200 - skipped.
Unable to open the item C:\WINDOWS\system32\dhcp\tmp.edb - skipped.
Unable to open the item C:\WINDOWS\system32\wins\winstmp.mdb - skipped.
Backup- H: WARNING: "H:\exactwin\olddata\applog.lck" is a corrupt file.
This file cannot verify.
WARNING: "H:\exactwin\olddata\USER.LCK" is a corrupt file.
This file cannot verify.
Verify- H: WARNING: "applog.lck" is a corrupt file.

Any Ides welcome - thanks

I have used the site below for many Backup Exec problems and it has proved very useful.  Check it out.

Thanks i will take a look as i now have another problem. I have implemented the KB article but i can't get rid of the Overwritable Media Alert. The Media has never been used with Veritas before. I am on both the two servers at the moment and they both keep coming up with the same. Under the devices under the sony tape drive i can't see the tape. I did originally add it to the default company media set. Is there any way i can reset the tape. I can't format it as it dosen't appear under devices in the sony ait2 device.
Use new tapes.

"I hope you've asked this under .../Backup_Exec, don't want to end up in the SBS TA accidentally again :("

Huh?

With the new site, you can ask a question in up to THREE zones.  This one is in BOTH the backup_exec as well as the SBS zones.

I don't quite understand that remark though... because the beginning of your comment states that VSS isn't required... but this is a Small Business Server that does need to have things configured in specific ways compared to a Stand-Alone Exchange Server.

Thanks Guys for your help
First time i have used the new look site. My orignal question appears to of been solved by TeschSoEasy howerver i will split the points for andyalder's input. Thanks again.
Please don't take this as a complaint... but in order to have a valid Previously Answered Question database it's really inappropriate for you to just "split points" because of input.  Only answers which solve your problem should be accepted.    Please refer to: https://www.experts-exchange.com/help.jsp#hi104

Next time... you should select only the answer which best fits your issue.

Thanks!

i see your point
It's still better not to use VSS for Exchange. You can setup a seperate Exchange job with Exchange shadow writer disabled and AOFO turned off and use the normal agent and do the rest of the server in a seperate backup.
