Backup procedure - What is best solution when buying a new 2nd server
I am working with a customer who currently has a SBS 2003 Server. They use the built in backup system to create backup tapes. They are now about to purchase another server to run a new system that will hopefully move them towards the paperless office.
What is the best way to back this new server? Can I use the backup system on the SBS server, or would it be better to have a seperate tape drive for the new server with its own backup software.
Perhaps we should be looking to come away from the current backup procedure and move towards backing up both systems using something like backupexec.
I have never been confident with setting up a good backup solution. Any advice would be welcome.
