Individual Mailbox restore on Backup Exec 11d
Hello,
we have a backup exec 11d server backing up data from a remote Exchange server (same local subnet)
The backup account is the "administrator" account which has successful testing to the Exchange server information store.
Recently we have had to deploy a restore only to find that information store lists only a partial list of individual mailboxes of which there are no users. hence we cannot restore the particular user's mailbox.
On further inspection on the Exchange system maanger , we found that during the backup duration, most of the listed accounts were logged on to by the "administrator account" and this tallies with the mailboxes available at Restore. all the other user mailboxes have their own users as logged on during the backup and are not present in the restore.
I've read some info already about using the Recovery storage group instead, but why am I getting a partial list of mailboxes and not all?
and should will RSG sort this out?
Thanks.

we upgraded the version from 6325 to 7170 and that seemed to list all the mailboxes.
however, previous backups were only recovered by using the RSG.
