Thank you for the reply. If I run live update there does seem to be one update available for the product.

Browse All Topics3 month old Dell server with Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 SP2, 3 Ghz processor 2 GB RAM Symantec Anti-Virus. We run Symantec Backup Exec 11d with a separate job for each day of the week scheduled to run at 10pm and Back Up to Disk on external USB hard disk drives we swap each week. Last week three scheduled jobs disappeared from the Job Monitor Calendar. Wednesday January 9th, Thursday January 10th and Friday January 11th jobs are gone. As one might expect, none of these jobs ran. They appear on the calendar for the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the previous week and for future weeks. I am concerned because monitoring the situation last week I was keenly aware that this Monday’s job for last night January 14th was on the calendar and scheduled to run and when I went to check its status this morning I found Monday's job, January 14 disappeared and it did not run. I was at a lost for how to explain to the client last nights backup failure. The job filter is set to display all jobs.

I have found that one update available to me via the Live Update you suggested is BE11d Service Pack 2. It is nearly 100mb and it will not run for me via the Live Update Utility. I am downloading it directly from Symantec’s website. It does address scheduling issues with jobs. Perhaps I must have Service Pack 2 for Backup Exec before I can get anymore hot fixes. I will keep you posted and will likely accept your solution as soon as I have the Service Pack Installed and get the hot fix 17 you mentioned.
Liveupdate can be a pig. Sometimes it just sits at a certain % but it is downloading in the background.
But you are prob best to d/l it via http and install from there.
We also have hotfix 33 installed. Can't remember what that is for. It might become avaialble after SP2 install as you say.
Good luck, keep me updated with your progress.

This according to Symantec is a known issue.
We had jobs that just didn't run and din't show up as either failed or complete. They just vanished even though they were still shown in the schedule.
We had to install hotfix 17 (if I can remember rightly)
Have you run Live Update?
