Backup Exec SP4 installation problem

I am trying to intall Service Pack 4 for Symantec Backup Exec v10.1 on a Windows 2003 server located at a remote branch.  It gets about 2/3 through the installation and then pops up the message:
The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available.  Insert the 'Symantec Backup Exec for Windows Servers' disk and click OK.

Since I am at a remote location, I can't put the CD into that server's drive, but I have copied the CD onto its hard drive and point the installation application to the location of the 'Veritas Backup Exec for Windows Severs.msi' file it is looking for.

Then I get the following error message:

The file 'D:\Veritas\WINNT\INSTALL\BE\VERITAS Backup Exec for Windows Servers.msi' is not a valid installation package for the product Symantec Backup Exec for Windows Servers.  Try to find the installation package 'Veritas Backup Exec for Windows Servers.msi' in a folder from which you can install Symantec Backup Exec for Windows Servers.

What does that last sentence mean?  If I'm pointing it to the package installation file, why does it say it is invalid (the copy on the hard drive has the same size and date as the one on the original CD).

Any help will be appreciated.  I'm hoping I won't have to completely uninstall Backup Exec and reinstall it in order to load SP4.Start Free Trial
