Backup Exec 11d on Exchange 2007 with Cluster Continuous Replication (CCR)

How can one install/configure Backup Exec in such way that backups are made from the passive node instead of the active node?

A job is set to back up from the passive copy and if not available, the active copy (recommended) in the Backup Exec job settings. However it seems to back up only from the active node no matter what the job settings are.
The passive node is available.

Backup source is CCR.
