Backup Exec 11d cannot find Information Store on Exchange 2007 CCR

We are in the process of migrating a client from Exchange 2000 environment to a fully clustered Exchange 2007 environment. Right now we have two NLB CAS servers in a DMZ, two Hub Transport Servers on NLB and two servers setup as an Exchange CCR cluster. We have a separte server that does nothing but run BE11d and CPS. For some reason the Backup Exec server has lost the ability to find Information Stores on remote systems if they are clustered. It used to be able to find the stores on the ex2000 cluster and back them up successfully. Right now there is a single ex2007 server in the domain that had the mailbox roles removed from it, this is the only Exchange 2007 server that BE11d will recognize as  having mailbox databases even though it has none.

Any help would be appreciated. I would rather not completely uninstall/reinstall BE11d if I don't have to as there are currently over 25 jobs configured on it for various other servers and I don't want to rebuild them all . . .

Yes, remote agent is installed on both nodes. I can backup local files/folders but the BE console doesn't list the information stores as an option to even select for backup. Very confusing. An exchange agent is purchased and installed on teh backup server. I can backup mailbox databases on non-clustered servers.

I will give that registry hack a try and see if that does anything.

Thanks!
I went to the key listed and there is no key for remote streaming backup. Am I supposed to make this key and stick it in there?

Also, does anyone know if having Circular Logging enabled makes a difference?

Thanks.
circular logging only makes a difference if you want to perform incremental and diiferential backups (cant have it turned on) it wont make any difference to you seeing the IS. the backup account is good?  thinking about it even with steaming backup i still cannot see why that would make any difference to beable to see the IS. for me it is pointing to the remote agent or some sort of account issue maybe

I'll try pushing out the remote agents again. BE11d is 7170 and the remote agents were pushed out after being upgraded. I will also try backing up the cluster itself instead of the passive node, although I thought that was one of the points of having the passive node, that you didn;t have to backup the active node . ..
Okay, so I pushed both agents back out to the cluster nodes and selected the backup of exchange on the cluster itself and I can now see the information stores. I guess BE11d is smart enough to know to backup from the passive copy as that is what it says in the exchange backup part.

Now, the problem I have is that I cannot get the CPS server to find the information stores on either cluster node and it doesn't find the exchange ccr server to push the client to . . . So I push the CPS install to the exchangeccr cluster and it informs me that it failed after a few minutes.....

So, how is someone supposed to use the CPS server with an exchange cluster or is CPS not designed for exchange CCR clusters??

I probably should just call Symantec but I HATE calling their tech support. Have to make sure I'm not doing ANYTHING that day and sit on the phone . . .. .
thats right i think i remember reading when trying to find your problem that continuos protection server does not work or their was a reason to not need it ill have a look again and let you know if i find it

yeh symantec tech supprort has  got to be one of the worst try to avoid tha:)
Thanks for the help. I gots the backups working again. YAY!
Thanks
happy days well done
