Lots of questions about Symantec BackupExec CPS 12

I want to setup CPS to capture backups from several servers and the process is rather straight forward but I have several questions that I can't seem to get answers for from Symantec so I'm hoping I can get them here and then others can use them as well so there will be a spectrum of questions here.

1. What license keys do I use?  Since I'm not worried about tape backups right now I don't need Backupexec, just CPS so I downloaded the CPS install. I have BackupExec 12 license keys which BackupExec 12 accepts but CPS does not when I install it from the stand alone installer.

I choose to install the 60 day trial and enter the keys later. When I go into the CPS console I can see my CPS server and the business server I'm backing up and I have the option to put keys in for both.. Do I put my BackupExec 12 key in the CPS server and my Agent for windows and Exchange in the server I'm protecting?

Edit - Found this one, I must use a Remote Agent for Windows Servers license in CPS. However, when I look at the server I'm protecting and view licenses it still says 60 days.

2. when I push out the agent to the server I'm going to protect it prompts for the location of journals and index's. Should I have these on the local server or click browse and point them back to the CPS server where I created volumes for these as prompted during the install? The default was on the server I'm going to protect but that doesn't seem right.

I went a head and left the default but when my snapshots occur the server that is being protected slows to a crawl which makes me think this is wrong.

3. When it comes to agents, is there a special agent for the CPS to push out or do I just put in my regular agent license (for exchange or sql) or are there special license keys that I need for CPS?

4. I'm not going to be using BackupExec to backup the CPS to tape any time soon but it does seem confusing so I'll add this. When backing up the CPS to tape for offsite archiving what should be backed up? The snapshots?Start Free Trial
