Backed Exec access control within the program?

Hi,

We have a situation where we have a master domain admin.  There are certain files on our network that are extremely confidential and certain users associated with those files.  So we also have a sub admin account that is denied any access to these files or user accounts.

We would like this sub admin to be able to monitor the backup and actually login to the console if they need to cancel jobs, erase tapes, etc.  At the moment we just have one backup job that does everything and runs under the "master" admin account.  Is there anyway to allow the subadmin access to veritas, but limit some of the things they can do.  Namely be able to restore files from the backup that are confidential.  I'm not really seeing any sort of control in Veritas to do things like this.  I would be fine with even setting up a seperate backup job for the confidential files and restricting the subadmin account from doing anything with that job, but I can't see anyway to acomplish that.

So any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!Start Free Trial
