I'm running Veritas Backup Exec 9.0 on a Windows 2003 Standard edition Server with SP2. This server also runs MS Exchange 2003 with SP2. All patches for the OS and Exchange are up to date.
With every backup, I get that the backup failed with this error:
OFO: Snapshot error (0xfffffec9): A failure occurred accessing the Writer metadata.
I've already worked through
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940349 and the few tech articles Veritas has on their site (
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/264350.htm and
https://forums.symantec.com/syment/board/message?board.id=101&message.id=47345) to no effect. I've gone as far as re-installed Windows 2003 SP2 and that hasn't made a difference either.
I've tried running Veritas updates from the Backup exec console, but all I get is a blank window.
Where should I go from here?
