We are running BackupExec 10.0 with Exchange server 2003. i've set the backup job to backup all exchange components. Our job fails on the Information Store, specifically the Recovery Backup Store. the error we get is:
Backup- \\<servername>\Microsoft Information Store\Recovery Backup Store V-79-57344-33928 - Access is denied.
Access denied to database Mailbox Store (<servername>)
V-79-57344-33928 - Access is denied.
Access denied to database Log files
There is also an exception:
Backup- \\<servername>\Microsoft Information Store\Recovery Backup Store WARNING: "\\<servername>\Microsoft Information Store\Recovery Backup Store\Mailbox Store (<servername>)" is a corrupt file.
This file cannot verify.
WARNING: "\\<servername>\Microsoft Information Store\Recovery Backup Store\Log files" is a corrupt file.
This file cannot verify.
I've ran the Eseutil.exe utility to check the consistency of the database, and it's ok. I've verified the backup operator has access to the windows folders used.
Has anyone any ideas?

You shouldn't be backing up an RSG.
You shouldn't even have one present. It is not best practise to leave an RSG in place. It should be created on demand then when finished, dropped.
