To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating. - The Grade of the Solution
- The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
- The Number of Author and Expert Comments
- The Number of Experts Contributing
- The Feedback of the Community
Your Input Matters Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. I just acquired a new client who is having issues with his backups. I noticed his version is Backup Exec 9.1 for Windows Servers and there are no Service Packs installed. Do to the current economy and downsizing of his company, he refuses to buy the latest version of BE. I want to get him up to the latest service pack version which is Service Pack 5. My question is can I go straight to SP5 from no services packs at all? I checked the Symantec site for SP1, SP2 & SP3 and I can't find them posted on the site period. I found SP4a which seems to have fixed some problems when installing SP4. So has anyone ever run into this problem before and if so, how did you resolve it.
