0xe00002fe - Cannot log on to MAPI with the specified credentials. (Back-up Exec 12.5)

Hello all,

Since a few days one of your clients - of whom we manage the back-up - receives this error:

"0xe00002fe - Cannot log on to MAPI with the specified credentials. Review the resource credentials for the job, and then run the job again."

We have tried:

- Applied Exchange rollup 7 & other updates;
- http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/312633.htm;
- Checking solutions here.

And all to no avail. This error sneaked in overnight without any changes being made whatsoever. Any help would be immensely appreciated.

If you unselect everything exchange related, do you get the same error?

Will try that tonight. What comes afer that (depending on the answer being yes or no, of course)?

If it works, reselect the unselected items.  Sometimes running the job without the selected items and then reselecting them works...don't know why just does...something I found by accident.

If it still fails or fails after reselecting it then uninstall the bexec agent and reinstall (after reboot).

We decided to take a different route and created a seperate job for the Exchange section (to disk). It works fine now. This topic can be closed now.
