We have Backup Exec 12.5 and 2 DELL 124T's with 15 tapes each (Brand new Drives!). I am writing on average 2 to 3 GB before the tape is marked "Do not Overwrite" because the "End marker Unreadable" error. I have updated the Firmware on both tape drives but no change. I don't want to keep waisting LTO3 tapes with just a few GIG. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a setting I need to fix?
The default Config for each tape drive is
Enable Compression: (Checked)
Block Size (Per Device): 64K
Buffer Size (Per Device): 64K
Buffer Count: 10
High Water Count: 0
Read Single Block Mode: (Unchecked)
Write Single Block Mode: (Unchecked)
Read SCSI Pass-through mode: (Unchecked)
Write SCSI Pass-through mode: (Unchecked)
Any assistance would be appreciated.
