Hi,

Can anyone assit in my issue. We have had issues backing up our mailboxes on exchange we are using Commvault 6.1.0 and the error that comes up is:
(Index and Application error under Commcell Console)
- Cannot get cache directory state (path [D:\Program Files\HDS\Backup and Recovery\IndexCache\CV_Index\2\457\1216948371]).
- Backup Pending. Failed to update metadata information on the CommServe. Please Check the following:
1. CommServe and MediaAgent connectivity
 2. All services are running on client, CommServe and the MediaAgent.
The job will be retried again. If the problem persists please upload log files from CommServe, MediaAgent and Client and contact your vendor's support hotline with the job ID of the failed job.
- Index update failed.  Please make sure that the index cache directory is accessible, and the indexing MediaAgent services are running.

I have restarted the services on all boxes and it still does not work?? Any ideas guys?

Our exchange envrironment is Windows Clusterd server 2003 which failed over the the second node and that was when i started noticing the issue. I have updated the agents on teh current node and restarted all Galaxy services to no luck.

Hlep please??
