We have 2 Dell ML 6000 Tape libraries.One is using IBM Ultrium TD3 SCSi drives and the other one is using IBM Ultrium TD4 Scsi drives.
We want to move the indexes from the LTO3 library to the LTO4 library and also should be avle to list the tapes required and should be able to restore data taken on an LTO3 drive to an LTO4 drive..
Please assist

That's an easy one. Just put your LTO3 tapes in to the new LTO4 tape library. Carry on as normal. LTO3 tapes are usable in LTO4 drives. The indexes are stored on the MediaAgent, if they are unavailable on the MediaAgent then the CommServe will simply read it from the start of the tape, it takes an extra 30secs to do that and you barely notice.
