I've a query regarding the Mail Archiver component for desktops.
I'm having difficulty installing it via group policy
I initially thought that it was down to Visual C++ not being installed on the clients.
So I created a policy to install that. However the problem still exists. I've tried both The 2005 and 2008 of C++ versions.
It appears to be doing the job as the logon shows it installing
However it's not there.
So I then tried to install maually
The error message is as attached?
Outlook 2007 by the way.

I think you were on the right track when you were thinking the issue was related to the VC++ Redistributable. From memory, I think the Commvault Installer is fussy about the specific version and revision.
I'm pretty sure the only one I could get it to work with was the one included on the V7 Media Kit: Disc 1, \INTEL32\BIN\vcredit_x86.e
Lorinao, the issue you are experiencing is fairly common, and is caused by the Outlook Add-In having an issue, and then Outlook disabling it.
In order to get it working again, open Outlook and browse to the Help menu, and select About Microsoft Office Outlook.
On the About dialog, press the Disabled Items... button
On the Disabled Items dialog, select the Commvault Add-In and press Enable.
Restart Outlook, and the user should be able to recover messages.
