As the Ghost CD is DOS based as far as I know try following the Link below. You'll probably need the utility you can download from HP to make the USB device bootable, that is described on page 3 of that Link.

If it tries to boot into some windows version, it probably won't work as windows has problems with USB drivers when booting from USB. It would have to be the newer Windows PE version used by Vista. I'd forget about ghost and use storage craft, that should be able to boot from USB.

All you need is the Ghost.exe file off the CD.

See the options below for creating USB media and bootable CDs with networking.

Ghost Bootable USB Files are located http://www.ee-stuff.com/Expert/Upload/getFile.php?fid=3672 First make your USB Dos Bootable by using a Dos Boot Disk to format the USB Drive, it has to be under 2gb of course to use Fat, using A:\Format X: /s (where X: is your USB Drive Letter) should format and copy the system files to the USB Drive.  Now copy the files from the link above to your USB Drive and it should work.  You will need to replace all the Ghost Executables in the "GHOST" Directory, the ones inside are all fake, but I left them there as place markers.  If you have an issue with Network Card not being recognised, i.e. it's a different model, all you need to do is:

In addition, not all computers support bootable USB devices, so I would first see if you can make a simple bootable DOS USB flash drive or HD.
Once you have that working, see the info above for adding Ghost to it.
