Acronis not recognising RAID1 Array.

Hello Experts!
I have the following setup,
Acronis True Image Server with universal restore, an Adaptec SATA RAID controller (1420SA) and 2 160gb SATA hard drives.
I have made an acronis .tib file backup from my server to an external drive.
I then go to the new server which has identical hardware (this is a backup server incase of total hardward failure).
I create the RAID1 Mirror Array using the Adaptec configuration tool (Control + A on startup). This array is working perfectly. (I have created Arrays before and this is definitely not where the problem is).
I then insert the Acronis Boot CD.
I choose recovery and then it asks me to find the .tib file, which I find on my external drive.
The next step it asks me where to restore to, but gives me 2 seperate hard drives (Labelled C and D) instead of 1 RAID array which I created previously.
I have also tried using the XP Pro CD and pressing F6 to install additional drivers and pointing to the SATA RAID driver, then rebooting the server and booting from Acronis CD again but this still does not recognise my RAID array.
Another thing i've tried incase it was a file system issue is to create the array within adaptec configration, then insert XP pro CD and go to the recovery console and use diskpart to create the partition, then i format the drives using the following command. Format C: /Q /FS:NTFS to create the NTFS file system, I then use fixboot C: to give the drives a boot record. Stil doesnt work that way.
Thanks for any help as I'm at a total loss as what to try next.
