We are unable to take differential backups via automated Acronis task scheduler. We encounter User name or password for the remote resource \\10.10.10.2\cbus\cbus.tib is incorrect please check user name and password and type it again. Manual differential task executes without errors.
The destination drive is a shared map drive with write access. Server is Windows 2000 with SP4 running Acronis True Image Echo Server (build 8076). We also failed backing up using UNC path as mentioned in some forums.

For your info the shared drive is a network storage device and users are created on the device for mapping purposes with read/write access.
Yes there are other connections with different credentials but this is how it works in one of our other locations. The weird part about this is the differential backup works fine when we manually execute the task.

If the archive flag is not set on the files
in the offending directory
incremental does not back them up

I guess the archive flag is automated or default as i never had to do this before but anyways where can i find this option.

so the back up user has list rights, but not read rights..
