VLS to MSL "tape" copy

We use ArcServe to run our backups nightly to a HP VLS6227, which is configured to emulate a MSL6000-Series Tape Library. I have 60 Cartridges created, each sized at 100GB.
I am looking to find out how to best copy/move these data to the physical MSL6030 tape library that I have. It is a 30-Cartridge Library, with two LTO-4 tape drives in it. These devices are fiber-channel connected to a Storageworks 4/8 SAN Switch.
I have run tapecopy commands at a command line prompt from the backup server successfully, but it does not seem to take advantage of the second tape drive, using only one drive. I have had no problems getting the 100GB cartridges to stack onto a single LTO-4 cartridge until it is full, but I would like to shrink the amount of time needed to transfer these cartridge sets by using both drives.
Is this possible? Can I simply execute another tapecopy command from a second command line window? Are there any other utilities that can preserve the CA format but allow me to do this, if CA can not do it natively?
And finally, if there are any non-CA readers looking at this, can I accomplish this task better with some other product? Obviously, this would involve an overhaul of my entire backup software architecture, but I'm at a point in my maintenance agreements where this would be feasible.
