veritas marks sqlserver backup files as corrupt

veritas marks sqlserver backup files as corrupt in verification. The sql server backup files are created once a week. This fails verification in veritas and the backup fails.

I have verified that the file size in the backup tape and the actual backup are almost the same.

Kindly guide me hw to correct the erroe
