Oh boy, it seems that Windows likes to exaggerate. To throw a Crash Dump only because you're missing a TSM internal privilege looks a bit over the top to me!
Anyway, did at least the QUERY commands work? I strongly assume so.
To give your node the permission to delete backup filespaces issue at the TSM server CLI (dsmadmc):
UPDATE NODE your_client_node BACKDEL=YES
Then go back to the client's commandline and retry the DELETE command(s).
That should do the trick.
