I cannot access my VPN from work but not at home. I get an error code 403 message. Could this be because of a COMCAST? My work laptop is WIN XP service pack 2. My home computer has comcast high speed access and runs vista. Any suggestions?

When you attempt to connect, there is only one connection you're trying right? I mean, not from both home machine and work machine? (Only one should connect at a time - we'll come to this later on why).
Double check your remote gateway ip, group password etc and then;
1. Can you check the logs on the VPN Client ? If not enabled, enable by going to Log | Enable

Symptom: when using Cisco VPN client to establish a VPN you may receive this message: Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client. Reason 403: Unable to contact the security gateway.
Causes: 1. an incorrect group password.
2. The VPN client is unable to communicate to the security gateway.
3. For the VPN Client 4.x to work with Mac OS X 10.3 ("Panther"), you must add UseLegacyIKEPort=0 to the profile (.pcf file) found in the /etc/CiscoSystemsVPNClient
